About the volunteer army at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials

At the heart of Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials is the core team of people who plan and organise the event.  They are the Event Director, Event Secretary, Event Administrator and Entries Secretary.

However, the event simply wouldn't take place without the support of our army of volunteers who very generously give up their time to help both before, during and after the event. With over 600 volunteers on site in 2016, it really is a military operation!

There are a variety of roles available including fence judges, crossing point stewards, site assistants and grandstand stewards to name but a few. Each area is looked after by one of our wonderful Heads of Department, whose knowledge of their domain and the event itself is something to be reckoned with!

Why should I volunteer?

There are many reasons why you should get involved with volunteering here at Blenhiem Palace International Horse Trials:

  • Learn new skills
  • See a different side to the event that you wouldn't experience as a spectator
  • Enhance your CV and expand your professional development
  • Support the sport you love
  • Be a part of something exciting
