New Marlborough Pavilion unveiled

Tuesday, May 2, 2017 - 15:45

Reflecting the ongoing trend for more informal dining, Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials unveils a new ringside facility at this year’s event (13th-17th September) called The Marlborough Pavilion after the Dukes of Marlborough, whose family seat is Blenheim Palace.

This facility, which is open to all*, is a new contemporary bistro and dining area adjacent to the main arena, site of the CCI3* dressage and show jumping phases of the event. It has Blenheim Palace as the stunning backdrop and offers an upmarket yet more fashionable facility than the Members’ Marquee of previous years.

There will be more à la carte dining options, with a cooked breakfast, three-course lunch and afternoon tea, in addition to a modern coffee bar and ‘grab and go’ bistro with café-style seating available.

It offers an unparalleled opportunity to watch top-class equestrian sport in relaxed, comfortable surroundings while enjoying delicious, high-quality food and offers the perfect ‘base’ for the day. There are a variety of packages to purchase for individuals, couples and groups.

Event Director Mandy Hervieu said: “We are relaunching the members’ area to be more inviting and offer a better customer experience to visitors. Anybody who comes to the horse trials can buy an upgrade pass into this area, which gives them access to first-class facilities and covered dining options.”

*On purchase of an admission ticket and an upgrade pass to the Marlborough Pavilion.
