Best ever ticket sales for Blenheim
Good weather, fantastic riders and a packed event schedule undoubtedly contributed to the best ever attendance figures for this year’s Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials.
“We are of course delighted,” said Event Director Mandy Hervieu. “We had over 68,000 on site throughout the event and the feedback we have had to date is overwhelmingly positive."
"Full credit must go to our volunteers who give their time for free and our hard working office and site teams are all a really positive ‘can do’ team and I am privileged to work with them."
It is the first year Blenheim have used E-tickets and these could be downloaded and printed at home right up until the day before the event. In general the response to E-tickets was positive and the feedback was that they made the booking process easy and intuitive. The Event Director did however note that whenever one does something new there is room for improvement and that there were a few tweeks Blenheim felt they needed to make them even simpler to use especially for the less technically aware.
TicketSrv, who operate E-ticket systems for over 50 outdoor events across the UK and ran the system reported that Blenheim is their largest seller of advance online tickets to date. Sally-Ann Jay of TicketSrv commented, “We manage a good cross section of outdoor events including a handful of Horse Trials and Blenheim’s ticket sales have far out-stripped all the others.”
