Blenheim goes for green bedding
Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials has teamed up with local Oxfordshire based eco-friendly animal bedding supplier, The Green Bedding Company, to provide complimentary bedding for all of its' competitors who are stabling on site.
The bedding which is made of hand stripped recycled shredded cardboard is highly absorbent, minimises odour, is non toxic, dust and spore free as well as being totally recycled. It is made in a state of the art production facility in near Blenheim and hand packaged with care and attention. The company prides itself on its eco-friendly position using cardboard that would otherwise end up in land fill to help reduce the carbon footprint of animal owners. The bedding once used provides excellent compost as it is 100% biodegradable, rotting faster than straw which means smaller muck heaps.
The Green Bedding Company are supplying four complimentary bales of the bedding for any competitor who would like to trial it. Stable Manager for the horse trials Zanie King said, "Four free bales should make a really decent bed and is very generous of the supplier. I am sure the riders will be very grateful. As this is a new product I had not used it before but I like the idea of recycling and the horses seem to like it and find it comfortable plus they don't eat it, which is always a problem with straw".
Deborah Bryant from The Green Bedding Company added, "We are very proud to be working with Blenheim. it is one of the most prestigious horse trials in the UK and we are delighted to be able to showcase our new product to so many top riders and the equestrian general public".
The Green Bedding Company have offered a years free bedding for one horse and two free season passes to Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials to the successful horse owner who enters their online competition at www.thegreenbeddingcompany.co.uk.
