British Horse Society announced as 2016 nominated charity

The British Horse Society (BHS) will be Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials’ nominated charity for 2016.
Event Director Mandy Hervieu said: “We are delighted to support the BHS, which is Britain’s largest equine charity. It is a charity sure to be near to the hearts of a great many of our visitors.”
Funds raised by the BHS at this year’s horse trials, which takes place from 8th-11th September, will go towards the charity’s Helping Horses campaign, which is an appeal to support the work of the BHS’s welfare team.
Laura Pepper, BHS director of fundraising, said: “We are honoured to be nominated as Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials’ charity for 2016. Blenheim Palace is such a fabulous event for the equestrian community and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to share our work with such a passionate audience.”
There will be a variety of activities and displays organised by the BHS over the four days of the event, including demonstrations from some of the society’s leading riders and coaches, as well as an interactive learning zone, Henry the mechanical horse and membership offers.
