RoR Dressage Championships


RoR and the committee at Ssangyong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials are excited to announce this new competition for 2018 to take place on Thursday 13th September 2018 during the 28th SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials.

Eligibility – For all RoR competition registered horses.


Prelim 19 (2016)

Novice 38 (2005)

Elementary 45 (2010)


To qualify, riders must submit three score sheets for the level at the required minimum percentage or above from either affiliated competitions, unaffiliated competitions or both. Score sheets must include the registered name of the horse, have full details re date and venue and must be signed by the Judge. The qualification is for horse/rider, no substitutes (horse or rider) allowed.

No horse or rider may compete in more than one RoR dressage championship competition at the SsangYong Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials.

Results from Freestyle To Music, Team Quest and My Quest do not count towards this Series.

Competitors will receive notification by email, of qualification upon receipt and verification of scores.

The Championship classes will run and be judged under BD rules, they will however, also be affiliated to RoR only and no BD grading points will be awarded.

The qualification period is 1st August 2017 to 7th August 2018 inclusive and no exception. Entries for the Championships open on 2nd July 2018 and close on 7th August 2018.

If oversubscribed, a ballot of highest percentages will be completed. 10 entries will also be kept on a waitlist.

Minimum qualifying percentage required for each level:

  • Prelim – 66%
  • Novice – 64%
  • Elementary – 60%

If you would like your sheets returned (after the competition), a SAE with correct postage must be supplied.

Accepted entries and wait lists will be published after the 7th August via this page. 

In the event of oversubscription, entries will be accepted in the highest percentage order.

If the competitions are over – subcribed, a wait list will be held

In the case of withdrawal before the 7th August 2018, a full refund will be given.

Withdrawals after this date will incur a £10 administration fee if the competitor can be replaced from the waitlist

If the competitor cannot be replaced, no refund will be processed.

Ticketing Information

Each entrant will receive two e-tickets and on lorry pass

E-tickets are to cover admission for the competitor and groom/trainer

Lorry passes are only for vehicles transporting horses/ponies
